The feeling that the end is near rises even stronger
At the sight of a pale house with no windows
The earth, the heavens, merge into the greyness
The life we knew expires in silence
The fields and bare trees resemble the limbo
That place made of dread and contemplation
Neither time nor distance are of importance here
So let’s be elegant in front of nothingness
The unknown we feared is here and now, on that cold foreign soil
Dog bites, gun shots and whipping to frighten you and make you run faster
Mass graves gaping wide, looking like what we’d been told of hell
Forbidding the faintest glimmer of hope
That is the time when you realize prayers are vain
The future ceases to be for all is very real
